They only showed art work for Trypticon.
Not sure on 3rd Party Thundercats…the legal problems with likeness rights for one thing. I mean TF can get away with it by not sticking to close to the animation models etc. But again as you say the price increase would make them even less appealing than the Mattel figures.
How do the Icons compare when standing beside Marvel legends? I like my figures mostly in scale. That is the only advantage DCUC have over DC Collectibles. Really thinking of collecting the Animated figures. Would love that Batman Beyond set.
This is interesting. So if the paint master gets damaged in China, who exactly re sculpts it… and why would they have to? I’d say it’s pretty stupid for the 4H to not have back up sculpts or parts. So with this logic. All figures will look fine if the paint master makes it to China undamaged? LOL I think maybe the 4H might be drinking some of Mattel’s Kool-Aid and starting to lie just like them. It looks more like the Teela face was warped during the tooling process, or something like that. We’ve already seen lesser examples of this with King He-Man’s face and I think NA He-Man. I think it’s a simple matter of ZERO quality assurance, and if the product is damaged across the board, Mattel tries to sell it anyway… which is unethical and expected from such a shady company.

Then it’s a good thing there are PLENTY of fans who will subscribe to keep the line going. We… the fans who refuse to sub but choose to cherry pick, once we see that the product is acceptable quality wise thank the sub holders.

With my previous experience own several MOTUC and DCUC figures there is no way I would be subbing without seeing the actual production figures…not prototypes.
I’m cool with this because the mark up I sell my extras for will help cover my costs for the sub. I love free toys!:thumbsup
'Nother design sketch up on FB, this time for Pumyra. She is pictured with a wrist crossbow accessory as well as the sling. Interesting to see (hopefully at TF today) if stuff like that the the Plun-Darr hilt for Mumm-Ra has made it to the actual figures.
I don’t recall her using a cross-bow in the old cartoon.

That’s a very nice sketch. Notice how the face features are softer than the prototype, and the waist seems narrower, more feminine. And of course the neck is shorter, but I am sure it will be shorter on the final figure as well, the long neck on the prototype was probably an assembly mistake. We’ll know for sure in a few more minutes.

I feel they drew the crossbow as a nod to the 2011 ThunderCats reboot, which celebrates its 5th anniversary this year.

Pumyra’s face is a little off because the eyes are too bright. and the markings on her face should be a bit darker.

That is very strange…since they are trying to sell subscriptions you would think they would have some to show.
Even if it were only the ones we’ve already seen. Very strange, unless they’re doing a separate presentation, but it doesn’t sound like it.
