I wanted to get that one, but I had no idea he would sell out that fast. I was at work and thought I’d be safe ordering at my lunch break. I’m not familiar with MOTU, any chance there could be another chance to grab him at retail or are those of us who missed out stuck with eBay? I will definitely pay closer attention to order things I want the moment they go live. I had no idea…

I do hope that all of us that’s not going to SDCC (not just because of the different countries we live in) will get the chance. Its a great idea to contact Mattel before then to allow us early access to these figures. Still no takers on getting a fig for me and a friend?
I heard the Filmation Skeletor got altered from the prototype pics.
I really think Mattel should be showing actual finished samples before opening the subscriptions.
They have reissued figures in the past that have quick sell outs. They also have held over stock that is used as damage replacements. Those get sold off at some point farther down the line but they go quick. This is why the sub model is ideal for these figures. I know it’s not preferred for some collectors but this quick sell out is reminicent of the early days of MOTU classics when stuff sold out in minutes and instantly popped up on EBay for quadruple the price. Filmation He-Man is a really great figure and it looks as though Mattel is really stepping up. Hopefully this is a sign that Thundercats will be amazing.

Haven’t seen anything about this. What was altered? The only thing I can think that would drastically change the figure would be the face and Mattel isn’t that stupid. There would be riots in the streets!

I remember reading somewhere in these threads how everybody hoped that they would stick with the original TC logo and its colourscheme with the new Mattel line. Has anybody noticed that they actually did use it in a lot of the new marketing material, albeit with the CLASSICS subheader. I’m all for it. I really also hope that they use a lot of black in the actual packaging to be reminiscent of the OS. Wasn’t the MOTUC packaging somewhat reminiscent of the OS of MOTU?
Do MOTUCs fit in vintage JLN vehicles, especially the ThunderClaw?

The furry trunks would probably make it difficult.
Figures like Bow and NA He-Man wouldn’t have that issue. If those fit, that means that the TCats will fit as well.
So i tried purchasing SDCC badges this morning (fist timer)..didnt even get to buy for 1 day…all sold out..:-(…was really looking forward to attending this year for TC…ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?
Not exactly. Even figures like Bow and NA He-Man still do not have great hip articulation as their legs cannot raise a full 90 degrees to get into a good sitting position so will probably not be able to get into the Thundertank but should probably be okay on the Thunderclaw and Skycutter.

Awesome, I think she looks even better than before! Glad Mattel is making a considerable effort to listen to fans on this line. I didn’t mind how she looked originally but now she looks a lot less rigid and more feminine.

Pumyra is right behind Lion-O in my most anticipated/wanted list (Bengali right behind Pumyra). I was satisfied with her look before, but wow… seeing the changes proposed and then seeing Mattel’s response? She looks fantastic! I wasn’t sure I could be more excited than I was before, but I am
+5 points to Mattel!
